Who we are

Great Yarmouth – powering the offshore energy sector and economic growth

England’s offshore capital has a vibrant future, capitalising on clean energy and other investment in the borough. A willingness to embrace change has seen the council and ambitious partners leverage more than £350m of public sector finance with major regeneration and impressive supply chain networks. We have unique opportunities for companies to be part of our bright economic future.

Beacon Business Park is a commercial property development opportunity with Enterprise Zone and streamlined planning status. With some of the world’s largest windfarms being built off our coast, the site sits on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, on the A47 artery and is just four miles from Great Yarmouth’s deep-water harbour. An additional 19-hectares is being allocated for bespoke design and build premises with a focus on office, R&D, light industrial and storage and distribution. This is a chance to put your business at the heart of Great Yarmouth’s investment in clean energy, totalling more than £50bn over the next 20 years.

Could you be part of one of Great Yarmouth’s most significant development opportunities in a generation? The council has appointed a master developer as it seeks to deliver high-quality riverside regeneration at North Quay. The four-hectare central site has been adopted for retail, leisure, commercial and residential uses after the council secured £20m of Levelling Up Funding and additional finance of £5.1m. Find out more about how you could be part of this transformative development.

We have an exciting commercial property development opportunity in the 136-hectare South Denes area with the deep water outer harbour and river port close to offshore energy schemes in the Southern North Sea. The employment area has Enterprise Zone and streamlined planning status and has an established cluster of offshore companies such as Equinor, RWE, Cadeler and BH Bus. There are 24 hectares of developable land available close to the modern, multi-purpose port facility, offering 24/7 operations and fast steaming times to emerging offshore wind farms. There site has a new £21m Operations and Maintenance Campus under construction and ambitions for a business incubation centre to take advantage of employment growth opportunities.
